In any city-particularly in India, Bus Shelter (Commuter Shelter) is most neglected and also user unfriendly. As a design challenge the students of Marg Institute of Design and Architecture Swarnabhoomi were asked to look at the complex location of "Madhya Kailash" commuter point which also is a link to MRT station(Indiranagar).
The students came out with excellent designs in groups. Initially a small study of the practical situation helped them shape their ideas. They were allowed to think freely and set the agenda for themselves..... The result is "mind boggling".The deisgns will be showcased at "Lalit Kala Akademi" from 3rd to 8th July and will be open to public viewing and comments.
