Sustainability is a Myth or reality was the topic of discussion by Prof. Jaffer AA Khan, Director of MIDAS during the BuildMat 2013 Conferenec on 8th Feb. 2013. He showcased his works - particularly some large projects executed in Bangalore which incorporate key features that make the development really sustainable. He said" If we take ten steps towards Nature (Prakiriti), the Nature will come running towards us". But the problem is understanding nature- This was a big question. Architecture is just not building buildings- but much beyound it. It is a living organism he says..... !
